Canvas is located in the former canteen of the Volkskrant, what used to be a place to eat your lunch and discuss journalism is now a booming club, restaurant and exhibition place.
We are open daily from 11:00 (12:00 on saturday & sunday) to 01:00, and on friday and saturday we're open till 03:00
You can get a terrific view of amsterdam from our terrace on the 7th floor during lunch time (11:00 - 16:00) or have a nice dinner inside (18:00 - 22:00).
Canvas is ideal for people looking for a relaxed environment with a great panoramic view.
On friday- and saturday nights, around 22:00 or 23:00, the dinner tables make place for the dance floor and the restaurant is transformed into a club to celebrate the weekend and dance the rest of the week away!
The exhibitions in Canvas rotate frequently and are usually also for sale. If you're interested, ask one of our staff for more information about the artist or take a look at the web site.
